One of my childhood besties was born on Cinco de Mayo. This year, we went all out of the cinco de mayo theme, from the sombreros, to the tacos, to the gigantic Tecate pinata.
PINATA TIME!!
First, you get her hubby to climb a tree to get the pinata up.
While the rest of us laugh…some more mischievously than others.
Until Paul actually falls from the tree! [It's ok, he's fine. He's part lizard, part spider monkey]
Then, blindfold the birthday girl…and put a sombrero on her.
Fill her up with beer.
Turn her around and around.
Get the camera ready.
Then watch her go!
Then let the others take a crack at the pinata!
Reapings from the pinata [moustaches?! hell yes!]
Love my Leanna!
Rejected! I’m more of a moustache girl!
Here is a run through of Michelle and Zach’s engagement dam hoi. It was a really fun ceremony, followed by an even rowdier party afterwards. We all had more than enough laughter, ridiculous amounts of food, and lots of music to dance it all off.
They were just having too much fun! We had all the rugs and blankets out in the patio, filled them with pillows and flower petals. I shot from above, hanging on to a pillar, teetering from a stool.
I was invited to my friend Amber’s baby shower this weekend. Her friends Kat, Brittney, and Sabrina threw her the cutest baby shower at Spring Tea Time in downtown Fullerton. They served us delicious Wild Berries and Orange tea, cranberry scones with clotted cheese and jam, and finger sandwiches with fruit. It was a lovely shower and I was so happy to be a part of it. The girls played baby games, tried on all the awesome hats that the venue had on location, and Amber opened all the wonderful baby shower gifts with some aid from her little helpers.
Although my family did a Thanksgiving lunch with Korean BBQ and shrimp BBQ on Thursday, my cousin Tien and I wanted to do our own Thanksgiving this year for the kids in the family the night before. On Wednesday, we set out to cook this 15 lb turkey, make mash potatoes with our own gravy from the turkey jus, yams with marshmallows brussel sprouts with bacon, and our own turkey stuffing with fresh bread. I think we did a pretty good job, and I’m sad I didn’t get a picture of Tien and her turkey. She spent a lot of time prepping the night before cleaning the bird out, stuffing it with yummy fruits and flavors, and cutting the vegetables. When I came home from work, I made the mash potatoes, the brussel spouts, and finished decorating the table. Here are the results!
I’ve been collecting photobooth accessories for awhile now. I like taking them to parties and getting everyone to loosen up and get in the spirit. My collection is growing because people will see that I have a photobooth, and some have contributed hats and wigs! I love seeing what people come up with!
24 hour fitness decided to do a disco 70s night zumba for Girls Night Out. I photographed and blogged about 80s night a few months ago and it was a hit. This time, it wasn’t as crowded since it was a Friday night, but a lot of us dressed up nonetheless and rocked it! The themes are pretty fun since everyone gets into the spirit, and we even zumba to disco music! I found this awesome vintage top for $5, which I’m stoked about since I can wear it to samba nights as well! Sunnies are from Forever 21. Terence, Joann, and Toni were nice enough to take my camera and photograph me with my buddies at the event so a big thank you and photo credit to them!
